About Leigh
Leigh Ferris is a contemporary British artist exploring the quiet collision between self and infinity.
Influenced by her experience in nursing, she translates the hidden architecture of the body into luminous abstract paintings — where cells echo galaxies and light becomes both energy and emotion. Across her work, surfaces begin to feel geological and otherworldly: eroded textures, shifting horizons, and vast fields of colour that resemble moonscapes, distant planets, and galaxies unfolding in slow, suspended time. These are not literal places, but sensed ones — somewhere between memory, matter, and imagination.
Her work sits in the space between science and the sublime, asking what it means to be alive, to hold consciousness, to exist briefly within something vast. To be one with the infinite universe.
Layered, radiant, and immersive, her paintings invite stillness and reflection — moments where the viewer becomes aware of their own internal universe, as if looking both outward into space and inward at the same time.
Her work has been exhibited across the UK, with a growing presence in art fairs and galleries and private collections in USA and France.
Her solo exhibition, Infinite Reflections, brings together a body of work that considers the body not as something contained, but as something infinite and everlasting.
