Artist Perspective
In "Infinite Reflections," Leigh explores the harmony between cosmic textures and biological forms. Through this series, light acts as a catalyst to dissolve physical boundaries and evoke a sense of the eternal.
Debuting on 12 June, this exhibition features twenty two large-scale abstract works. It marks a significant milestone for Leigh, inviting viewers into an immersive experience of vivid color, kinetic energy, and deep introspection.
Since January, Leigh has handcrafted every element of this series, from building raw wooden frames to the final layering of pigment. This disciplined process ensures that while the paintings appear fluid, they reveal profound complexity—a reflection of a personal journey toward artistic growth.
“Infinite Reflections bridges the internal and the external,” Leigh notes. “It explores our inner architecture alongside the vastness of the cosmos.” Defined by bold, organic strokes and a shifting palette, these monumental pieces pull the viewer into a world where cellular and celestial landscapes meet.
Rooted in a background as an organ donation specialist nurse, Leigh’s practice focuses on the fragility of life. These works act as a sanctuary, celebrating empathy and beauty. By creating a space for renewal, the artist facilitates a direct emotional connection between the viewer and the canvas.
A transition to a dedicated studio has provided the discipline and community needed to expand this vision. This evolution is evident in the confident strokes and deep narrative of the collection. It is a cohesive story of curiosity, resilience, and the enduring resonance of light.
